Šiaulių Bankas will no longer execute payments to/from Russia and Belarus
Dear clients,
please be advised that in view of the expanding sanctions against the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, we are striving to be responsible not only in terms of compliance and risk management, but also in terms of the services we provide to our clients. We have made a commitment to be closer, which is why we have first encouraged and given our clients time to switch markets, reducing their dependence on the sanctioned countries. Now that these countries pose unacceptable risks to the Bank, we are taking further precautionary measures and communicating changes in the execution of payments to the sanctioned countries:
- as of 15 August, we will no longer process payments in RUB (Russian Rubles), regardless of the recipient’s country.
- as of 1 September, we will no longer execute payments to or from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in any currency.
- Please also note that following the introduction of new rates, an additional fee of EUR 50 is charged for credit transfers to countries or the crediting of payments received from countries for which the Bank carries out enhanced monitoring in accordance with the Law on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing of the Republic of Lithuania and other legislation.
Exceptions to the execution of payments may be made by prior agreement in cases where payments are made for humanitarian purposes or for State functions.
If you have any questions, please contact us by telephone at 1813 (+370 37 301 337 for calls from abroad) or email to info@sb.lt.
Sincerely
Šiaulių Bankas
