Viber app for PIN card users
Dear Clients,
We are constantly improving our services and trying to respond to your needs. So here is great news for PIN card users who have the Viber app! From 12 October 2021, when you connect to Internet Bank and sign transactions with your PIN card, we will deliver the variable verification code to you via a message in the Viber app. If you do not use the Viber app or do not wish to receive the variable verification code by Viber message, we will continue to deliver the code to you by SMS.
What is the Viber app?
Viber is a globally popular messaging and audio/video chat app for smartphones and other mobile devices. If you don’t have the app on your device but want start using it, Viber is free to download.
How do I receive a variable verification code for my PIN card via Viber message?
If you are already a Viber app user, from 12 October 2021, the sending of the variable verification to the Viber app will be automatic. You do not need to do anything extra.
However, if you are using the Viber app and you are not receiving bank messages in the app from 12 October, please check your app settings (whether your internet connection is switched on, whether bank messages are allowed). I prefer to receive the variable verification codes for the PIN card by SMS
If you are using the Viber app, but want to receive the variable verification codes by SMS, find Šiaulių Bankas in the Viber app, click and turn off the notifications from the bank. Once you have done this, you will receive SMS messages again.
If you change your mind, you can turn the Bank’s notifications back on in the same way and receive the variable verification codes for your PIN card in the Viber app.
