How do I join the promotion and what are the conditions?

1. Order Mastercard Gold contactless credit card or Debit Mastercard contactless debit card and a service plan of your choice by 28/02/2025, provided that you have not had a valid Šiaulių bankas card and service plan for at least 3 months prior to the date of the order.

2. Receive your salary or other regular income such as pension, maternity allowance, scholarship or other regular (at least monthly) income from legal entities into your bank account for at least 3 consecutive months from the start of your participation.

3. Make at least 5 monthly purchases in physical or online stores with your new card within 3 consecutive months from the start of your participation.

How can I determine the exact amount of the bonus I will receive?

Salary x 2% = BONUS

The 2% bonus is calculated based on the amount of salary or regular income  received (transferred to the account at Šiaulių bankas) in the first month (30 days) of participation (see Terms and Conditions).

The maximum amount of regular monthly income on which the bonus is calculated is €5,000 (five thousand euros) and the maximum bonus that can be received is €100 (one hundred euros).

When will I get my bonus?

The bonus shall be paid to the participant no earlier than 3 months after the start of participation in the promotion, provided that the conditions of the promotion outlined in paragraph 3.1 of the Terms and Conditions have been met.

How can I qualify for and benefit from the free service plan?

The free service plan is activated for 3 months immediately after joining the promotion, i.e. after ordering a card with a service plan during the promotion period (in accordance with p. 3.1 of the Terms and Conditions). If the conditions of receiving a salary or regular income in the account and making 5 monthly purchases are met within the first 3 months after the start of participation, the selected free service plan will be extended for another 3 months. If the conditions of receiving a salary or regular income in the account and making 5 monthly purchases are not met within the first 3 months after the start of participation, the selected free service plan will automatically convert into a paid service plan, and the standard service rate will apply.

What happens if I don’t meet the conditions of the promotion?

If a participant fails to meet any of the  conditions of the promotion for at least one month, such as:

  • Not taking out a new card with a service plan;
  • Not receiving a salary or regular income in the account for at least one month;
  • Failing to make at least 5 purchases per month;

they will be removed from the list of participants and will not be eligible for the prize.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the promotion “Receive up to €100 bonus + free service plan” valid from 27/08/2024 to 28/02/2025

I. GENERAL

1.1. The Terms and Conditions for the promotion “Receive up to €100 bonus + free service plan” (hereinafter, the Terms and Conditions) define the terms and conditions of the promotion of Šiaulių bankas AB (hereinafter, the Bank), legal entity registration No. 112025254, registered office address: Tilžės g. 149, Šiauliai (hereinafter, the Promotion).

II. DEFINITIONS 

2.1. Promotion Period: from 27 August 2024 to 28 February 2025 (inclusive).

2.2. Bank Account – a current account opened with the Bank in the name of the Customer for the purpose of receiving income and executing payment operations.

2.3. Service Plan – the Bank’s service plan for private individuals with a Mastercard Debit or Mastercard Gold credit card, which defines the services provided and the conditions. 

2.4. Regular Income – wages, salaries, maternity benefits, pensions, other regular benefits or income received regularly (at least once a month) from legal persons into an existing bank account. 

2.5. Card – the Bank’s Mastercard Debit payment card or Mastercard Gold credit payment card issued to a natural customer of the Bank.

2.6. Promotion Participant – a Customer of the Bank who meets the terms and conditions of the Promotion as outlined in paragraph 3.1 of these Terms and Conditions. 

III. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION

3.1. Participation in the Promotion and eligibility for the prize, which includes a bonus and 6 months of free use of the selected Service Plan, are open to Promotion Participants who meet all of the following conditions of the Promotion:

  • During the Promotion Period, order a Card with a Service Plan and have not had a valid Card and Service Plan for at least 3 months prior to the date of order;
  • Receive Regular Income into their bank account on a regular basis (at least once a month) for at least 3 consecutive months from the start of participation;
  • Make at least 5 purchases per month for 3 consecutive months (from the start of participation in the Promotion) at physical sales or service outlets or online stores with the Card linked to the Service Plan.

3.2. A Promotion Participant who meets the conditions of the Promotion as stipulated in paragraph 3.1 of the Terms and Conditions shall receive the prize of the Promotion – a bonus as stipulated in paragraph 4.1 of the Terms and Conditions and shall be entitled to use the selected Service Plan for free for 6 months (from the start of the participation in the Promotion) as stipulated in paragraph 4.2 of the Terms and Conditions.

3.3. If a Promotion Participant does not meet the conditions of the Promotion outlined in paragraph 3.1 of the Terms and Conditions in full, e.g. does not have a Card linked to the Service Plan, does not receive Regular Income in the account for at least one month, does not make at least 5 purchases in a month, he/she shall be eliminated from the list of Promotion Participants and shall not be eligible for the Promotion prize, i.e. the bonus.

3.4. Employees of the Bank and its subsidiaries and family members of employees are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

3.5. By participating in the Promotion, the Promotion Participant confirms that he/she accepts these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them and to comply with them.

IV. PROMOTION PRIZE

4.1. The bonus, i.e. a 2% (two percent) bonus for the Promotion Participant of the Promotion shall be calculated based on the  amount of the Regular Income  received in the first month (30 days) from the start of participation in the Promotion and shall be paid once3 months after the start of participation in the Promotion (the procedure for determining the winners and the deadline for payment of the prizes shall be as outlined in paragraphs 5.1 and 5.2 of the Terms and Conditions). If the Promotion Participant’s Regular Income is credited to the Bank account more than once in a month, the Promotion Participant’s bonus shall be calculated based on the sum of all the Regular Income received in that month. The maximum amount of regular monthly income on which the bonus is calculated is €5,000 (five thousand euros) and the maximum bonus that can be received is €100 (one hundred euros).

4.2. The free Service Plan is activated for 3 months immediately after joining the Promotion, i.e. after ordering a Card with a Service Plan during the Promotion Period (in accordance with paragraph 3.1 of the Terms and Conditions). If the conditions of receiving Regular Income in the account and making 5 monthly purchases are met within the first 3 months after the start of participation in the Promotion, the selected free Service Plan will be extended for another 3 months. If the conditions of receiving Regular Income in the account and making 5 monthly purchases are not met within the first 3 months after the start of participation in the Promotion, the selected free Service Plan will automatically convert into a paid Service Plan, and the standard service rate will apply.

VDETERMINING THE WINNERS OF THE PRIZE, THEIR NOTIFICATION AND PAYMENT OF THE PRIZE

5.1. Once a month, starting from 10/12/2024, the Regular Income and the number of transactions made by the Promotion Participants shall be checked. If it is found that the Promotion Participant has received Regular Income in the account for at least 3 months from the beginning of the participation in the Promotion and has made at least 5 card payment transactions per month, the prize, i.e. the bonus provided for in p. 4.1 of the Terms and Conditions, shall be transferred to the Promotion Participant. 

5.2. The Promotion Prize, i.e. the bonus, shall be automatically transferred within ten (10) days from the date of determination of the Promotion winners to the Promotion Participant’s Bank Account linked to the Card. The account of the Promotion prize recipients linked to the Card must not be closed. If the Bank Account is closed, the prize will not be paid to the Promotion Participant. 

5.3. In the event of an inability to award (transfer) the Promotion Prize, the prize shall remain with the Bank.

5.4. Information about the prize won and the prize received by the Promotion Participant shall be provided in the statement of the Bank Account to which the Card is linked.

5.5. Each Promotion Participant is eligible to receive only one prize. 

VI. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA

6.1. All personal data of the Promotion Participants shall be processed in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania. The Bank shall take all necessary, reasonable and justifiable measures to ensure the protection of the Promotion Participant’s data and the lawfulness of their processing. 

6.2. The Promotion Participant has the right to have access to his/her personal data and how it is processed, to know (be informed) about the processing of his/her personal data, and to request that his/her personal data be rectified if it is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate. The Participant also has the right to object at any time to the processing of his/her personal data, as well as to request that the Bank delete the Participant’s personal data or suspend the processing operations of such data. The Promotion Participant understands that in such a case the Bank, no longer having the right to process personal data for the purposes of the organisation and execution of the Promotion, will be obliged to exclude the Promotion Participant from participation in the Promotion. 

6.3. The personal data provided by the Promotion Participant will be processed for all purposes of the organisation and execution of the Promotion during the Promotion Period and until 30/09/2025. 

VII. MISCELLANEOUS

7.1. In the event that the Promotion prizes are subject to taxation under the Law on Personal Income Tax of the Republic of Lithuania, the personal income tax of the Republic of Lithuania on the Promotion prizes shall be declared and paid by the Bank at its own expense. 

7.2. The Bank has the right to unilaterally change these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion Period or terminate the Promotion at any time. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions or to the Promotion shall be announced in advance in the same manner as these Terms and Conditions are announced.

7.3. The Promotion Terms and Conditions are published on the Bank’s website www.sb.lt

 

Please note that paragraphs 2.5, 3.1 and 4.2 of the Terms and Conditions have been revised and supplemented with effect from 30/08/2024. From 27/08/2024 to 29/08/2024, the following wording was in force: p. 2.5, p. 3.1 and p. 4.2:

2.5. Card – a new (not used for at least 3 months prior to the moment of ordering) Bank’s Mastercard Debit payment card or Mastercard Gold credit payment card issued to a natural customer of the Bank.

3.1. Participation in the Promotion and eligibility for the prize, which includes a bonus and 6 months of free use of the selected Service Plan, are open to Promotion Participants who meet all of the following conditions of the Promotion:

  • During the Promotion Period, order a new Card with a Service Plan;
  • Receive Regular Income into their Bank Account on a regular basis (at least once a month) for at least 3 months from the start of their participation in the Promotion;
  • Make at least 5 purchases per month for a 3 period of months (from the start of participation in the Promotion) at physical sales or service outlets or online stores with the Card linked to the Service Plan.

4.2. The free Service Plan is activated immediately after joining the Promotion, i.e. after ordering a new Card with a Service Plan during the Promotion Period. The selected Service Plan shall be free of charge for 6 months from the start of participation in the Promotion.

We recommend that you carefully assess your personal and/or family financial capacity before making financial commitments. Failure to meet your financial obligations can have a negative impact on your credit history and make borrowing more expensive. Šiaulių bankas will assess your creditworthiness before issuing the card and may refuse to issue it.
