Updated General Service Rules, Terms of Electronic Services and the Conditions of Service Plans usage
Dear clients,
please be informed that as of 1 August 2023 a new version of the General Service Rules of Šiaulių Bankas (hereinafter, the Rules) will come into force for all clients. The main changes concern the clauses in the Rules which:
- include the possibility of digitised signing of documents using electronic devices (tablets) in order to reduce the amount of paper used in operations;
- paragraph 6.12 of the Rules has been supplemented, which gives the Bank the right to suspend the provision of services if the client makes/receives settlements for transactions in which he/she is not involved or funds are received/transferred to entities which are not involved in the transaction, i.e., payments are made/received on behalf of a third party without any legitimate justification;
- the Bank now has the right to check the public registers for any changes in the client’s information (contacts, information on identity documents, information on death, etc.), if this possibility is available to the Bank;
- the Rules have been supplemented with a new clause on the client’s request to disclose information that constitutes the Bank’s secret by means of remote communication;
- other changes have been made to clarify the provision of services.
The new version of the Rules (effective as of 01/08/2023)
Please also note that a new version of the Terms of Electronic Services (hereinafter, the Terms) will enter into force as of 20 July 2023. The main changes relate to paragraph 1.16 of the Terms, which has been supplemented to provide as follows:
- the code from the PIN card will no longer be used as a means of authentication, but new tools are introduced for authentication purposes;
- as you log in to Šiaulių Bankas Internet Bank using Mobile-ID or Smart-ID, you will be asked to enter your national identification number instead of the password for your Internet Bank;
- it will be possible to log in to Šiaulių Bankas Internet Bank using a user profile created in the mobile application, using biometric data of the Šiaulių Bankas Internet Bank user (facial image or fingerprint) or a quick login PIN created by the user in the mobile application.
The new version of the Terms (effective as of 20/07/2023)
At the same time, the Conditions of Service Plans have been revised, with effect from 1 August 2023. Once they come into force and the old service plan has been replaced by the new one, the new one will apply within 2 working days (previously it was only valid from the 1st of next month). There are also other adjustments to the terms and conditions that do not affect the provision of Customer Services.
The new version of the Rules (effective as of 01/08/2023)
