Cash Operations

If you need to withdraw or deposit cash into bank account or payment card account, you can do so by selecting the most convenient way for you:

In bank branch

In all branches of Šiaulių Bankas AB (hereinafter, the Bank), you can deposit cash into your own, another person’s or company’s account, as well as to withdraw funds from your account. Please note that:

  • when depositing cash into another client’s account with the Bank, making a SEPA credit transfer to another bank in cash or exchanging currency for an amount of EUR 10,000 or more, it is obligatory to provide documents substantiating the origin of the funds, so we recommend submitting a request for a cash transaction 2–3 working days in advance. You can submit your request at a Bank branch.
  • when depositing cash into another client’s account with the Bank or making a SEPA credit transfer to another bank in cash when you have an account with the Bank, you will have to deposit the cash into your account and make payments from it.
  • if the person does not have an account with the Bank, he/she is subject to the transaction limits (per transaction/month) specified in the Service Rates.
  • persons who do not have an account with Šiaulių Bankas are obliged to fill in the form at the Bank branch each time before making a single cash deposit to another client’s account with the Bank or a SEPA credit transfer to another bank in cash.
  • natural persons can deposit/transfer cash to the STI or SODRA accounts in accordance with the cash deposit/transfer limits provided for in the Service Rates.
  • the Bank does not accept or issue foreign currency coins.
  • if it is not possible to pay part of the amount to be paid to the client in foreign currency coins, then this amount will be converted into euros.
  • foreign currency can be deposited and withdrawn at the reference exchange rate published by the Bank.
  • worn and/or damaged:
    • foreign banknotes (old or defective) are not accepted and cannot be exchanged for new banknotes;
    • euro banknotes and coins are exchanged in accordance with the requirements published on the Bank of Lithuania’s website, which can be found here.

Please note. When making a cash transaction, please check carefully that you have provided the correct account number. The payment transaction will be processed according to the account number of the payee that you specify. An incorrect account number may result in the funds being credited to another client’s account, even if the name of the payee is correct.

The Bank reserves the right not to provide cash services to persons who do not have a business relationship with the Bank or to clients who do not provide all required information. If you are a frequent user of cash transaction services at the Bank branches, we recommend that you become a client and have an ongoing business relationship with the Bank. In this case, transactions are subject to fewer restrictions.
